Parental controls that actually hold.

Kedemo protects your kids’ Windows PCs with a web filter, screen-time schedules, install approvals and activity reports — all managed from your phone, and locked behind a family master password so it can’t be switched off from the child’s side.

What Kedemo does

Everything a parent needs on a Windows PC

One small agent on the child’s computer, one policy you control. Change a rule on your phone and the PC applies it within seconds.

Web filter

Category blocking (adult, gambling, violence, social media…), safe search, allow- and block-lists — enforced at the DNS level, so it works in every browser and app.

Screen time

Daily budgets per school day and weekend, bedtime windows, per-app limits and bonus minutes when they’ve earned them. The screen locks — not just a nag.

Install approvals

New programs don’t just run. Your child asks, you get a push notification with the publisher and file, and you approve or deny with one tap — or trust that publisher forever.

Activity reports

Which apps got the hours, which sites were visited or blocked, and how much of the daily budget is left — per child, per day, with nothing sent to third parties.

Alerts that matter

Blocked adult content, a VPN appearing, tamper attempts, a PC that went offline — you choose which alerts reach your phone and which just land in the log.

Tamper-resistant

Runs as a protected system service, restarts itself, keeps working in Safe Mode, and can only be uninstalled with the family master password — not with the child’s account.

Setup

Up and running in ten minutes

You don’t need to be technical. If you can install a program, you can set up Kedemo.

Create your family

Sign up, add your children and pick a starting profile — Young, Tween or Teen. Each one is a sensible policy you can tweak later.

Install on the PC

Generate a one-time enrollment code, download the installer on the child’s computer and paste the code. Kedemo installs as a service and links itself to the right child.

Manage from anywhere

Use the parent app or the web dashboard to change limits, approve installs, grant bonus time and read reports. Changes reach the PC in seconds.

Current version 0.15.4 · released 2026-10-28

What gets installed

Kedemo Agent — a Windows service that applies the policy, filters DNS, watches launched programs and talks to your dashboard.

Kedemo Helper — a tray icon in the child’s session for notifications (“10 minutes left”, “Steam was approved”) and the lock screen.

Both show up in Programs & Features. Uninstalling asks for the family master password.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

Can my child just uninstall it or stop the service?

No. The agent runs as a protected system service, its files and settings are locked to administrators, and the uninstaller only proceeds with the family master password. Our hardening guide also turns the child’s account into a standard user, which closes the remaining doors (Task Manager, Safe Mode tricks, boot menu).

What about a VPN or a different browser?

Filtering is at the DNS/network level and applies to every program on the PC. Known VPN adapters are detected and reported, and you can block VPN software from installing in the first place through install approvals.

Does Kedemo read my child’s messages or record the screen?

No. Kedemo logs which sites and apps were used and for how long, and which were blocked. It does not capture message content, keystrokes or continuous screen recordings.

Which devices are supported?

Windows 10 and 11 PCs today. The parent side works on Android and any web browser. macOS and Android child devices are on the roadmap.

What happens when the trial ends?

Reports and settings stay, and you have a few days of grace to pick a plan. If you don’t, you can’t add new devices, but nothing is deleted.

Where is my data stored?

On our own servers in New Jersey, USA — not on a public cloud. Activity data is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete a child, a device or the whole family at any time.
