Install Kedemo on your child’s PC
Do this on the child’s computer, logged in as an administrator. You need an enrollment code from your dashboard (Devices → Add device); it looks like KDM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and works once.
Option A — one-line install (recommended)
Open PowerShell as Administrator (right-click Start → “Terminal (Admin)”) and paste, replacing the code with yours:
irm https://kedemo.com/downloads/install.ps1 -OutFile "$env:TEMP\kedemo-install.ps1" & "$env:TEMP\kedemo-install.ps1" -Token KDM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
The script downloads the agent, installs the service, links the PC to the child that the code belongs to and starts the helper. Add -Harden to also apply the recommended Windows lockdown (see below).
Option B — manual
- Download
kedemo.exeandkedemo-tray.exeinto the same folder. - Open PowerShell as Administrator in that folder and run:
.\kedemo.exe install -url https://api.kedemo.com -token KDM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX -tray .\kedemo-tray.exe
- The PC appears in your dashboard within a minute.
Recommended: harden the child’s account
Kedemo protects itself from the child’s account, but a child who is an administrator can undo a lot on any Windows PC. harden-windows.ps1 makes the child a standard user, turns on the UAC password prompt, disables the boot menu and recovery tricks and hides Task Manager for the child. Run it once, as administrator, after installing:
irm https://kedemo.com/downloads/harden-windows.ps1 -OutFile "$env:TEMP\harden.ps1" & "$env:TEMP\harden.ps1" -ChildUser "Luka"

Uninstalling
From Programs & Features, or kedemo.exe uninstall. Either way the family master password is required. Parents can also retire a device from the dashboard, which uninstalls it remotely.
Parent app
Manage everything from the web dashboard at api.kedemo.com/app. The Android parent app with push notifications is in testing — it will be listed here when it ships.
